weaving on a bed frame

At the moment I seem to view everything as a potential surface for weaving!

In The Guardian on Saturday, I read about Gillian Reynolds, who is using her allotment as “a place for experimentation and art”.

I have no interest in gardening.  I have been using my garden as a place to display my textile art - especially my weaving and more recently my knitting, so I was interested to hear about this allotment as a place for outdoor art.  I was especially interested to read about how Gillian Reynolds uses a old bed base as a frame for sweet peas.  There is an old bed frame dumped at the bottom of the garden - why not use it for weaving on?!

Here it is …

and I have started to weave on it …
