Yesterday saw the opening of the new Edmund de Waal installation, Atmosphere, at Turner Contemporary in Margate (top).  The suspended vitrines are each filled with 20-30 glazed and unglazed porcelain vessels.

Yesterday was also our monthly Craft Club.  The children made their own installation, inspired by de Waal’s Atmosphere.  Instead of porcelain cylinders, we used cardboard cylinders.  We wound white and cream yarn around them and assembled them to make our installation.  Each child chose where to place their cylinder.  Our installation consisted of 54 cylinders of different sizes.
